Richmond's Evan Dunfee is inviting community members to join him on a Dairy Queen (DQ) walk to support BC Children's Hospital Foundation (BCCHF) on Thursday.
Every year, DQ hosts Miracle Treat Day where proceeds from the day are donated to help treat sick and injured kids at local hospital across North America.
This year, Miracle Treat Day is celebrated on Aug. 11.
Dunfee tweeted that he will be at Minoru Park on Thursday at 4 p.m. and will his way to the Dairy Queen on No. 3 and Francis roads with anyone who wants to join.
"As if I need an excuse to get a blizzard!" said Dunfee in his Twitter post.
"Anyone want to join for a casual (promise) walk/ roll?"
For every Blizzard bought at BC's DQ locations on Miracles Treat Day, the net proceeds will be donated to BCCHF.
The three Richmond locations participating in the event are:
- 8980 No. 3 Rd., Unit 105
- 11099 No. 1 Rd., Unit 140
- Richmond Centre food court
