A Richmond youth and fellow members of a non-profit charity are hosting donuts sales to raise funds for BC Children's Hospital this week.

Tinklyn Xiang, a co-founder of Canadian Firefly Foundation, and other foundation members are holding Krispy Kreme donut sales in Richmond, Vancouver and White Rock on Friday, Sept. 30.

The goal of the foundation is the raise $40,000 for cancer research and care packages.

Seventy per cent of the funds will be donated to BC Children's Hospital while the remaining 30 per cent will be used to purchase art supplies for children at the hospital.

The students can be found next to Richmond Brighouse Skytrain Station, Vancouver's greenway at 41st Avenue and West Boulevard, and at Grandview Corner's Indigo store in White Rock from 10:45 a.m. until they are sold out.

Donuts are being sold at $12 per dozen or $2 for a single donut. E-transfers, cash and Wechat pay will be accepted at the fundraising sites.
