Richmond students donate cards, toys and clothing to charity

The McMath Richmond Hope For Hospitals (RHFH) club created 70 hand-made holiday/thank you cards and donated hundreds of dollars to local charity

A group of McMath secondary students was a busy bunch in December, either creating or collecting gifts for charity.

The students are all part of the Richmond Hope For Hospitals (RHFH) club, which created 70 hand-made holiday/thank you cards for Richmond Hospital's frontline health care workers, donated $600 to Richmond Hospital Foundation and collected over 160 new gifts for the Richmond Christmas Fund and Ronald McDonald House.

RHFH is a student-led club, with a goal to raise money and show gratitude towards local hospitals and the community.

In in addition to RHFH's annual holiday initiatives, the club collaborated with McMath’s 'Interact' club to host 'Candy for Care' - a fundraiser where they sold assorted candies and snacks.
