Richmond resident charged with dangerous driving causing death allegedly clocked 143 km/h

Thirty-five-year-old Ken Chung, of Richmond, has been charged with dangerous driving causing death, according to the Vancouver Police Department.

A “detailed investigation” included evidence that the Audi he was driving was allegedly travelling at least 143 km/h northbound on Oak Street when he plowed into a vehicle attempting to turn left onto 41st Avenue. The collision, on Nov. 14, 2015, killed a 63-year-old man.

Chung had minor wounds and was quickly released from hospital, noted police at the time.
