Richmond RCMP are appealing for witnesses to an alleged assault to come forward.
Police say they were contacted Saturday after a man was brought to hospital with a “significant head wound,” following an apparent targeted attack that took place around 5:30 a.m.
The man was allegedly attacked by a group of individuals right in front of a restaurant, at 5300 No. 3 Road near Lansdowne Centre.
The victim is in hospital in stable condition.
The suspects left southbound from the mall parking lot, in two vehicles. Police did not provide a description of the vehicles.
“Investigators know there were other people in the area at the time of the assault, and are asking anyone who may have witnessed it to contact police,” said Cpl. Adriana Peralta with the Richmond RCMP.
