Richmond RCMP seek witnesses of December collision

Richmond Mounties are asking the public for cell phone or dash cam footage from a collision where a 75-year-old pedestrian was struck. The incident took place on the 6000 block of Minoru Boulevard near Westminster Highway on Dec. 30.

Richmond Mounties are asking the public for cell phone or dash cam footage from a collision where a 75-year-old pedestrian was struck.

The incident took place on the 6000 block of Minoru Boulevard near Westminster Highway on Dec. 30. The pedestrian was a 75-year-old, female Richmond resident and is currently still in hospital, recovering from her injuries. The driver was a 53-year-old Richmond resident who stayed at the scene following the collision.

“Investigators are working to establish what happened in the time leading up to the collision,” said acting Cpl. Adriana Peralta in a press release. “This is a busy area of Richmond and there is a high probability that there were multiple witnesses to it and we need their help.”
