Richmond RCMP is asking for the public’s help in their search for a missing 21-year-old woman.
Shewanie Gounden was last seen on Oct. 16 and was reported missing the day after, according to a police release.
Gounden is described as a South Asian female, five feet one inches, 190 pounds, black hair and brown eyes.
She was last seen wearing black jeans, black shoes, a black hoodie and carrying a yellow backpack.
Friends and family of Gounden are concerned for her health and well-being, and said it is “out of character for her to be out of contact for this long.”
