A binder of over 100 sports trading cards was recovered during the arrest of a man on an outstanding warrant earlier this year, according to Richmond RCMP.

A binder of over 100 sports cards – many of which date back to the 1980s and includes hockey, baseball and basketball trading cards – was among the items seized during an arrest of a man in Richmond earlier this year.

Richmond RCMP is now searching for the collection’s rightful owner.

The sports trading cards were among the items seized by police during the arrest of a man on Jan. 17, after Mounties discovered he was the subject of an outstanding warrant for property crime-related offences in Vancouver.

“This collection is quite large and it appears to have been well kept. The exact value of the cards in the collection is not yet known, but I am certain that the rightful owner would like to have them back,” said Cpl. Ian Henderson of the Richmond RCMP.

Anyone with information that could help police find the cards’ owner is asked to contact Richmond RCMP at 604-278-1212, quoting file number 21-1530.
