With fewer cars on the road because of COVID-19, drivers may be inclined to drive a bit faster than usual.
The Richmond RCMP caught five speeders during a traffic operation with one car going as fast as 123km/h in a 50km/h zone on Saturday.
“Excessive speed (equals) automatic impound,” said Richmond RCMP in a Twitter post.
They are reminding residents to “slow down” or it could be their car being towed.
Excessive Speed = Automatic Impound. 5 netted during traffic op. We’re out there enforcing the law. Slow down or this could be your car. Continuing to work hard to keep #RichmondBC safe. pic.twitter.com/3GSGWtCHEy
