Kin's Farm Market presented a cheque of $3,567 to the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) last Thursday (Feb. 16) from funds raised during their second annual calendar campaign.
"Kin's annual calendar campaign is one of the ways we engage our staff and customers in supporting the Canadian Cancer Society," says Kenneth Lai, vice president of corporate development at Kin's Farm Market.
Through community events and seasonal campaigns, the company has become an important supporter of CCS, raising over $40,000 since 2009.
"Canadian Cancer Society believes that eating well is a key part of cancer prevention. The healthy lifestyle that Canadian Cancer Society advocates is something Kin's Farm Market strongly agrees with," said Kenneth.
The company provides specialty produce and dedicates itself to making positive changes in the areas of wellness, healthy eating and sustainable living. For more information on Kin's, visit www.kinsfarmmarket.com.
"Support from Kin's Farm Market and other organizations makes everything we do possible," said Jocelyn Kwok of CCS. "The funds we receive go towards cancer research, provide assistance to cancer patients and cancer patient services, and share valuable information with our communities on cancer prevention and early detection.
"We are incredibly grateful for Kin's commitment and dedication to the Canadian Cancer Society."
