Police have arrested a 32-year-old man allegedly involved with stealing a car from a Richmond home.
Mitchell William Coubrough of Surrey was arrested on Aug. 28 and has been charged with the theft of a vehicle, breach of probation and two counts of driving while prohibited.
RCMP received a report that a vehicle was stolen from outside a home in the 8700 block of No. 1 Road near Coldfall Road on Aug. 17.
Two male suspects were seen taking off with the vehicle in a surveillance video, according to police.
“One suspect has been identified and arrested, and the stolen vehicle has been recovered,” said Cpl. Ian Henderson, media relations officer with the Richmond RCMP.
“But Richmond RCMP continues to work on identifying the second suspect in this matter, and hope to bring him to justice soon.”
Coubrough is in custody and will appear in Richmond Provincial Court on Oct. 14.
