Motorists in Richmond are warned of delays and single-lane traffic on Gilbert Road between between Elmbridge Way and Granville Avenue for approximately the next two weeks.

Road paving, as part of an ongoing sewage upgrade in the city, will begin on June 8 with crews working just south of Elmbridge Way and continuing southbound along Gilbert Road.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane in both directions near the worksite with temporary lane closures and turn restrictions at the intersection of Westminster Highway and Granville Avenue.

There will also be temporary access restrictions to the north and south entrances of Azure roads from Gilbert Road while crews are at work. One entrance will be closed at a time.

Drivers should expect delays or plan an alternate route.
