A Richmond firm that does framing for residential buildings has been fined almost $7,000 by WorkSafeBC for a repeated "high-risk violation" involving fall protection.
Richmond-based C&K Framing Limited was fined $6,991.08 by WorkSafeBC for failing to make sure fall protection was used for its employees.
WorkSafeBC observed two employees of the firm working on a two-storey house with no fall protection in place for either of them.
One worker, a representative of the firm, was on a deck at a height of about 3.5 meters and the other was on the roof at a height of about 5.3 meters.
C&K Framing was previously fined on Oct. 15, 2019, also for the same reason.
At the time, the firm was fined $3,937.20 for not making sure their workers had a personal fall protection system in place as they were working on the edge of a sloped roof and for not providing the necessary information, instruction training and supervision.
