A fire on the eastern edge of Richmond's residential area sent residents fleeing from their home Thursday afternoon.
The blaze started shortly before 3 p.m. at a two-storey house at 6971 No. 4 Road. Smoke and flames were visible on arrival, said Tim Wilkinson, deputy chief of operations at Richmond Fire-Rescue.
All occupants made it out of the home and were unharmed, according to the B.C. Ambulance Service.
Wilkinson said the cause of the blaze, which was extinguished by 7 p.m., may have been an electrical fire sparked in a shed attached to the house.
