The police incident that was blocking traffic on River Road in east Richmond has ended.
Richmond RCMP tweeted at around 10:15 a.m. that it was dealing with an “incident” on River Road near No. 7 Road.
Police were asking drivers to avoid the area and seek alternate routes for the time being.
A spokesperson for Richmond RCMP told the Richmond News that there was "no public safety risk" from the incident.
