The City of Richmond is asking users of a popular dog park if they want more trees planted.

The city is soliciting feedback on tree-planting at the No. 3 Road Dog Park off-leash area, close to the intersection with Dyke Road on the south arm of the Fraser River.

The dike, said the city, was recently upgraded at the location, which brought upgrades to the park including over 100 trees planted, improved seating areas and a dog obstacle course features.

The city said it has received feedback that more trees may be desired - to replace the ones removed during the upgrade – to offer “more shaded seating opportunities.”

Members of the public can provide feedback at LetsTalkRichmond.ca, where, from Tuesday, September 6 to Sunday, October 3, an online survey will be available.

There will also be a drop-in information session on Saturday, September 10, from 9 to 11 a.m., where staff will be onsite at the park to answer questions and receive feedback.
