The City of Richmond will hold four public information sessions from May to October to show what it is doing to address climate change, how it’s improving the city’s road network, how it’s tackling the affordable housing issue and to give updates on its agricultural land policies.

The open houses will be held in different locations throughout the city, starting on May 2 at Richmond City Hall.

These sessions have been created to inform and engage the community about city-wide plans, policies and initiatives that guide development and how they are being implemented.

The sessions will be in a drop-in open house format and there will be an array of display boards supplemented with handout materials.

Staff from the departments of Development Applications, Policy Planning, Affordable Housing, Transportation and Sustainability will attend the sessions. The public can speak directly with staff, gather information and share comments

Feedback received through the sessions will be gathered and shared with city council in a summary report.
