Nine out of 10 Richmond federal election candidates will be asked questions on Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. focused on business and the economy at an all-candidates debate hosted by the Richmond Chamber of Commerce.
The debate is free to attend – via Zoom – and is open to the public. There isn’t any limit to how many people can listen in live and attendees can send in questions via the Zoom Q&A function during the debate.
Candidates from both local ridings will be attending the debate – from Richmond Centre and Steveston-Richmond East. Only one candidate – Jennifer Singh running in Steveston-Richmond East for the People’s Party of Canada (PPC) – has said she can’t participate in the debate.
There are five candidates in each riding representing the Conservatives, Liberals, NDP, Greens and the PPC.
The debate will be recorded and posted on the chamber’s Facebook page for rewatching.
The federal election is being held on Monday, Sept. 20.
