Two Richmond brothers have been acquitted of an alleged gay-bashing assault after a Vancouver provincial court judge ruled Monday prosecutors had not proven they were the same pair who beat up two men outside their Downtown Vancouver condo building.

Parminder (Peter) Bassi, 33, and 29-year-old Ravinder (Robbie) Bassi were acquitted of assault causing bodily harm. The charges stem from a June 2010 attack that left David Holtzman and his partner Peter Regier concussed with cuts and bruises.
