Two Richmond-based accountants and 12 others in B.C. received awards to acknowledge their contributions and accomplishments in the accounting profession.
Geoffrey (Geoff) Chutter and Dalbir Rai of Richmond were awarded the Fellowship of Chartered Professional Accountants (FCPA) designation by the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia (CPABC) late February.
The FCPA is given to members who show values of integrity, high ethical standards, leadership and community engagement, according to the CPABC website.
Lori Mathison, CEO of CPABC, said in a statement they are honoured to present Chutter and Rai with a fellowship designation.
“With their wide and impressive range of skills and experiences, they represent the very best of our profession,” said Mathison.
“We are proud of Geoff and Dalbir’s professional accomplishments and of their tireless contributions to their communities. They are truly deserving of this recognition.”
Chutter is the founder and president of Richmond-based WhiteWater West, a global water park manufacturer, and Rai is a senior tax partner at EY’s Canadian Tax Group and was previously the director and chair with the Richmond Hospital Foundation.
