Poll result: Massive majority of Richmond News readers want birth tourism banned

Almost 90 per cent said they would like to see the practise made illegal in Canada

Last week, the Richmond News published a story about a civil lawsuit filed by the father of a child born via Canada's controversial birth tourism loophole.

Richmond News polled 2975 Richmond News readers and asked the question: Should so-called "birth tourism" be made illegal?

The poll ran from 12/16/2022 to 12/26/2022. Of the 2975 votes, we can determine that 389 are from within the community. The full results are as follows:
