Richmond RCMP released still frames from a security camera video of a third suspect in a kidnapping this August in hopes of identifying the man.

The Richmond RCMP is asking for the public’s help in identifying a third suspect thought to be involved in a kidnapping of a man and his five-year-old son back in August.

Police released a series of still photos and a video clip Wednesday morning (Nov. 20) of the suspect who was caught on a security surveillance camera in the lobby of the kidnapping victim’s condo building.

He is described as having short, dark hair, a beard and moustache.

Police were called to the 3000-block of Corvette Way at around 2 p.m. on the day of the incident (Aug. 11) after a passerby witnessed a group of males approach a man and force him at gunpoint into the back seat of his own car where his young son was strapped into a car seat.

When police arrived on the scene they arrested two suspects — 27-year-old Ryan Stalker, and 19-year-old Raymond Truong — who have been charged with kidnapping.

RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Stephanie Ashton told a group of media gathered at the Richmond detachment’s headquarters Wednesday that during the course of the investigation video of a third suspect was obtained.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to contact the Richmond RCMP by email at [email protected].

Or if you wish to remain anonymous, call Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
