Planned power outages in Richmond on April 9 and 12

Richmond residents in multiple areas will experience power outages as BC Hydro has scheduled repair and replacement work on April 9 and 12

BC Hydro plans regular power outages to perform work on equipment or power lines that require them to be de-energized, according to its website.

“By planning the outage and doing the necessary work, our crews can prevent a potential unplanned emergency outage in the future, where a part of the system unexpectedly fails or malfunctions,” says BC Hydro's website.

Here is the list of power outages scheduled for the upcoming week:

April 9 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect seven customers at:

  • 6320, 6340, 6351, 6360, 6400, 6440 and 6460 Yeats Cres.

April 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 10 customers at:

  • 8931 and 8980 Demorest Dr.
  • 8871 to 8991 Wagner Dr.

April 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Pole replacement will affect 25 customers at:

  • 10726 Hollybank Dr.
  • 10571,10580,10600,10611,10620,10640,10651,10651,10660 and 10671 Lassam Rd.
  • 10680,10691,10700,10711,10731,10751,10771,10773,10779,10780,10799,10800,10860 and 10880 Lassam Rd.
