Multiple areas in Richmond will experience power outages as BC Hydro has scheduled repair and replacement work between April 19 and 26.
BC Hydro plans regular power outages to perform work on equipment or power lines that require them to be de-energized, according to its website.
“By planning the outage and doing the necessary work, our crews can prevent a potential unplanned emergency outage in the future, where a part of the system unexpectedly fails or malfunctions,” says BC Hydro's website.
Here is the list of power outages scheduled for the upcoming week:
April 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Rescheduled from April 1)
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 14 customers at:
- 10551, 10571, 10591, 10611, 10631, 10651, 10660, 10671, 10680, 10691, 10700, 10720, 10740 and 10760 Agassiz Crt.
April 20 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 11 customers at:
- 11400,11411,11428,11431,11451,11460,11471,11480,11491,11500 and 11511 Kestrel Dr.
April 21 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Transformer replacement will affect 14 customers at:
- 9660, 9680, 9691, 9700, 9711, 9720, 9731, 9740, 9760, 9780, 9800, 9820, 9840 and 9860 Aquila Rd.
April 22 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 16 customers at:
- 11191 to 11340 Galleon Crt.
April 24 from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 32 customers at:
- 5900, 5920 and 5940 No. 2 Rd.
- 6011 and 6151 Westminster Hwy
April 25 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Pole replacement work on BC Hydro equipment will affect less than five customers at:
- 9491 Ash St.
April 26 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 14 customers at:
- 10100,10111,10120,10131,10171,10180,10200,10231 and 10240 Springhill Cres.
- 10051,10071 and10191 Springhill Cres.
- 10140 and 10160 Springmont Dr.
