One of the survivors of Northern Thunderbird Flight 204, which plunged onto a busy road and exploded into flames, is set to step out in public for the first time since the crash.
Kelly Jablonski was one of seven passengers pulled from the flaming fuselage by heroic drivers three weeks ago after it crashed onto Russ Baker Way, about 900 feet short of YVR's south runway.
Jablonski was only recently released from hospital after undergoing surgery for broken vertebrae.
But next Wednesday, Nov. 23, Jablonski will be at the Richmond Chamber of Commerce's (RCC)
34th Annual Business Awards as a finalist and CEO of his Ultimate Skateboard Distribution firm.
Jablonski has confirmed to the organizers that he intends to be at the River Rock Casino event, where his company is nominated in the Business of the Year 26-75 category.
