The public can now nominate people and organizations that have created a part of history or contributed to preserving it for the City of Richmond's Heritage Awards.
The award is a way to recognize these individuals and groups for their dedication and roles in the city's past and cultural identity.
Nominations are open for those who play a part in:
- the preservation, restoration, rehabilitation or adaptive reuse of a historic place such as a building or structure, or the conservation of a cultural heritage landscape
- promotion or awareness of local heritage through education, outreach or advocacy
- contributions to local knowledge of heritage in public or interpretation projects
Anyone can make a nomination to the Richmond Heritage Commission by completing a one-page nomination form that describes the nominee and their work.
Submissions must be made by Sunday, May 28, 2023.
