A large emergency response in the area of Burnaby's Crystal Mall Saturday afternoon was sparked by a "medical emergency," according to Burnaby RCMP.
Officers were called to the 6000 block of Willlingdon Avenue at about 1:11 p.m., according to spokesperson Cpl. Mike Kalanj.
"At this time there does not appear to be any criminality; however, emergency crews may remain on scene for the next couple of hours," he said
Eight emergency vehicles could be seen at the scene, and the area was cordoned off with police tape.
