Richmond’s crime-fighting team has a new star.

Last Tuesday, officers of the Richmond RCMP Airport Crime Unit seized approximately 22 kilograms of marijuana from a suspected drug courier.

According to investigators, the man was acting suspiciously while waiting to board a flight to Ottawa. Officers then called in police service dog Chrisa, who sniffed out the drug stash. The alleged drug courier is now awaiting court.

Richmond Airport Crime Unit would like to thank Const. Jamie Dopson and his partner Chrisa for their assistance.
