Update: Man charged with vehicle & mail theft before Richmond court for bail

Marc Phillip Mcgregor will return to Richmond court on Friday to hear the results of his bail hearing.

A man whose charges include fleeing police in an EVO in Vancouver during a busy afternoon, is waiting to see if he will get bail.

Marc Phillip Mcgregor faces 38 charges spread out across Richmond, Burnaby and Vancouver. The charges include break and entering a condo building, stealing mail, stealing various vehicles, license plates and miscellaneous items in vehicles, and using stolen credit cards.

He has been in custody since he was arrested on Jul. 13, 2022.

Richmond provincial court Judge Diana Vandor heard submissions from both sides on Wednesday and adjourned the bail hearing so she could work on her decision.

Mcgregor appeared by video at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept 9 to receive the result of his bail hearing, but the matter was adjourned until Sept. 14 when a date will be fixed for his next appearance.
