It’s a beautiful day in Richmond today and temperatures across the Lower Mainland could reach record highs.

Currently, Richmond is forecasted to reach a high of 15 degrees Celsius, while Vancouver could reach 19 C. According to the Weather Network, it's not out of the question for some areas to reach 20 C, making it the first 20 C day in all of Canada so far this year.

These temperatures could break records as the hottest March 12 was recorded in 1998 when temperatures reached 14.7 degrees. The average maximum temperature is usually 9.8 degrees.

The warm weather and sunshine won’t last for long, however, as tomorrow’s high temperatures are expected to dip back down to 11 C with light rain on both Tuesday and Wednesday.
