Its not every day you see a Hawaiian shirt as pink. But when you do, you know its Jaeger Mah.

Its not every day you see a Hawaiian shirt as pink. But when you do, you know its Jaeger Mah.

The 29-year-old Live@YVR winner was flown in on a Learjet 45 XR for a private view of his new home for the next 80 days and nights YVR airport and Sea Island, from where hes not allowed to leave.

Mah was one of 96 applicants for the job and won with more than 4,000 online votes from the public.

For winning, he has to live on Sea Island and produce a video a day of anything and everything to do with the airport.

I love adventure, Mah said. And the coolest part about living here at the YVR is theres a thousand cultures that come through here every day.

He gets $50 a day for snacks and meals, a bed at the Fairmont Airport Vancouver and $15,000 to take home in the end.

When taking the first walk through the international terminal building, media, and crowds alike, met Mah. Walking down the hall, he took the time to hug and high-five passersby, as he began filming his first day.

When asked what his first few stories will be, Mah said he has hundreds planned, but they will all have to do with the people who work and pass through the airport every day.

I have one Ive been thinking a lot about customs, he said. But that will take a while.

Other ideas include background jobs of stuff the public normally never sees, as well as personal diary style entries of his experiences.
