A virtual concert hosted by the Vancouver Metropolitan Lions Club has helped raise $35,000 for the Richmond Hospital Foundation.

The funds are being donated to the hospital foundation’s Act Now Campaign for the Yurkovich Family Pavilion, Richmond Hospital’s new acute care tower.

“We are proud to continue our annual tradition in raising funds for Richmond Hospital Foundation,” said Linda Li, president of Vancouver Metropolitan Lions Club.

“We believe in bringing people together regardless of physical distance, and this year we were delighted to be able to host our virtual concert in Los Angeles with well-known artists from Hong Kong to support the future of health care in Richmond, B.C.”

The virtual concert, “Love Thru Borders – Project C13,” was hosted live in Los Angeles, CA.

It was the Vancouver Metropolitan Lion Club’s 13th fundraising concert benefiting Richmond Hospital Foundation.

The concert featured guest singers Castro Louie, Suzan Guterres and May Ho, along with Wesley Li, a popular master of ceremonies, according to Richmond Hospital Foundation.

“We are so thankful for Vancouver Metropolitan Lions Club’s ongoing dedication to serving the community and supporting Richmond health care. They have been loyal supporters since 2001, inspiring friends and family to join Richmond Hospital Foundation in transforming health care,” said Natalie Meixner, president and CEO of Richmond Hospital Foundation.
