A Richmond manufacturer recently made its second donation to Richmond Hospital Foundation's campaign to fund a new medical imaging centre.

Hansen Industries Ltd., which has donated to the Richmond Hospital Foundation for 28 years, recently handed over a cheque for $10,000 for the fundraising campaign for the new Milan & Maureen Ilich Medical Imaging Centre.

"We want to invest in improving health care in Richmond and recognize that there is and will be a continuous increase of medical imaging needs here," said Amit Chhabra, president of Hansen Industries.

"As a Richmond business, we are proud to lend our support for the Medical Imaging Centre Campaign and our community.”

For almost three decades, Hansen Industries has donated to various areas of need at the hospital including surgery, emergency, urology, oncology and ambulatory care.

It received a Richmond Hospital Foundation Doctor of Philanthropy Award in 2022 for its commitment to health care in Richmond.

Funds raised by the campaign will go toward purchasing latest imaging technologies for diagnosing, tracking and monitoring medical conditions.

The campaign is currently 90 per cent of the way to its $25 million fundraising goal.
