Koinonia Evangelical Church has donated $30,000 to benefit two of Richmond Hospital Foundation's campaigns.

The church held its annual fundraising campaign in May where funds were raised and donated to different local charities, including to the Richmond Hospital.

The donation will go toward the hospital's Trio of Life and Medical Imaging Centre campaigns where funds will be used to replace aging diagnostic equipment for the future cardiology, pulmonary and neurology specialties as well as latest imaging technologies to assess patients.

“Generosity is at the heart of everything we do because we believe that giving back to others will help build a stronger, happier and healthier community,” said Fan Chun, Deacon of the Koinonia Evangelical Church.

“Richmond Hospital plays a vital role in keeping our community healthy, and we are so pleased that Koinonians’ acts of generosity will support both the urgent needs of the hospital, as well as future needs.”

Chun has been an active supporter of Richmond Hospital Foundation since 2017, and the church has previously dedicated funds to the Yurkovich Family Pavilion as well as the hospital's Surgical Restart campaign.
