A local Richmond furniture store donates $10,000 to benefit the Richmond Hospital Foundation.

Richmond's Home Quarters Furnishing said the funds will be out towards the hospital's Medical Imaging Centre Campaign, which will be used on purchasing new equipment to treat patients.

"We are delighted to contribute to the Medical Imaging Centre Campaign," said Kevin Meng, founder and co-owner of Home Quarters Furnishings.

"The hospital is a vital part of our community, and we want to do our part in ensuring that it has the resources it needs to provide the best possible care to patients."

At the same time, the furniture store also made another $10,000 donation to the Richmond Christian School to support its school programs and initiatives.

Tandy Gao, co-owner of Home Quarters Furnishings, said the donation will help students from Kindergarten to Grade 12.

"Education is so important, and we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to receive a quality education," said Gao.

"We hope that our donation will help make that possible for more students."
