It's almost a wrap at the Richmond Christmas Fund

The sterling work of the Richmond Christmas Fund is almost over, with registrants signing up in their hundreds for a little help during the holidays.

The sterling work of the Richmond Christmas Fund is almost over, with registrants signing up in their hundreds for a little help during the holidays.

Last week, the second edition of A Not So Silent Night, raised an incredible $125,000 for the cause and, in just two registration days, the Christmas Fund has already served nearly 1,500 people, the busiest the program has ever seen, with two more days to go.

Earlier in the campaign, Gail Terry, Kim McLachlan, and their team at the Richmond Auto Mall Association organized the 16th Annual Windows of Hope fundraiser, with nearly 300 volunteers taking part.

On Dec. 1, the Steveston Merchants Association partnered with the Richmond Lions Club to host the 7th Annual Christmas Classic Car Cruise, raising $900 and collecting more than 150 toys.

Just last week, Christmas Fund Drive-Thru Event was held, for the first time, at Brighouse Fire Hall No. 1, with two truckloads full of toys collected.

And finally, Patti Martin and other local realtors made their annual Christmas Fund donation, giving $11,600, courtesy of the Realtor Challenge back.
