Richmond RCMP is reaching out to the community in a bid to reunite pianos with their owners.

In early June 2018, Richmond Mounties received information of a warehouse in south Richmond where numerous pianos were discovered.

The pianos range in size and style from small uprights to concert grands.

“Pianos are much more than instruments that can convey music,” said says Cpl. Dennis Hwang.

“They may have a deep family history dating back multiple generations. The precious memories and sentimental value each piano holds may far outweigh any monetary value.

“The Richmond RCMP is advising the public of these pianos in hopes that their owners will contact us. The owners may be beyond the Richmond area.”

If you are the owner of a missing piano, contact Const. Susie Wang, of the Richmond RCMP, at 604-278-1212 or by email at [email protected]
