Vehicle left in ditch after early Sunday morning collision

Alcohol is considered a factor in the ongoing investigation.

An early morning collision on Highway 91 eastbound in Richmond left one vehicle in a ditch on Sunday.

Richmond RCMP officers responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 91 eastbound just before the Nelson Road exit shortly after 1 a.m. on March 5.

A 2020 Ford two-door was "heavily damaged" and found in a ditch, while the second vehicle, a 2016 Nissan SUV, was nearby on the highway.

"It had...also sustained damages rendering it undrivable," said Cpl. Dennis Hwang in a media statement.

No injuries were reported.

Police are saying alcohol is being considered a factor in the ongoing investigation of the collision.
