For those across Richmond and beyond of a Games of Thrones persuasion, this Sunday has likely been marked in their calendar for some time.
This weekend is the long-awaited airing of the eighth and final series of the global phenomenon that is HBO’s Games of Thrones (GOT) fantasy TV show.
Such is the popularity, many GOT die-hards, no pun intended, are having opening episode house parties on Sunday.

Gamblers can also bet on who will die first which, for those unfamiliar with GOT, happens with astounding frequency in the show.
In that context, The Hound is favourite at 6/5, with The Mountain at 29/50.
Other popular betting categories include which characters will become a white walker and which characters will die during season 8.
With all the plot twists and turns of Game of Thrones, it’s anyone’s guess as to how the show will end.
