Update: Movie ticket contest closed for Hong Kong black comedy

The contest is now closed.

Update: The Richmond News received more than 100 entries to the contest and the winners have all been contacted by email. Thank you to all readers for participating in the contest!

Free movie tickets are being given out for a Hong Kong flick to celebrate its release in Metro Vancouver.

Illume Films and the Richmond News are giving out four pairs of tickets to Over My Dead Body, a black comedy directed by award-winning director Ho Cheuk-Tin.

Over My Dead Body tells the tale of a group of residents' chaotic night after they discovered a nude male corpse on their doorstep. Scared of their properties plunging in value, they hatch a plan to get rid of the body.

The film stars popular Hong Kong actors including Teresa Mo, Ronald Cheng, Wong You-nam, as well as Edan Lui and Jer Ying-Tung Lau, members of the superstar boy band Mirror.

In an interview with the News, Ho said the film will help bring a piece of home to Hong Kong immigrants but is also relatable to anyone living in big cities.

Over My Dead Body is currently showing at SilverCity Riverport Cinemas in Richmond.

For a chance to win the tickets, email Editor@richmond-news.com from now until Tuesday, May 23 with the subject line "Movie ticket contest" and answer a simple question: Which Richmond mall did Ho want to visit?
