It's a bouncing baby boy for Richmond Olympian Alexa Loo and her husband Ari Goosen.

Louie Sander Goosen made his appearance at 2: 07 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 29 at Richmond Hospital, weighing in at a healthy nine pounds and eight ounces.

The News spoke to the first-time mom on Wednesday about her newly changed routine.

"I'm just getting the day going," she quipped, joking that it was nearly noon and she still wasn't out the door.

"I'm really surprised at how well things are going.

"Louie is eating and sleeping really well."

Loo said it helps that her husband is working from home right now.

"It makes it a lot easier when you have someone to spell off of," said Loo, adding if all goes well she plans to go back to work in May, 2012.

"You never know though, when the time comes for me to go back to work, I might not want to go back."

Louie is the third grandchild on both sides of the family and the first grandson for Loo's parents.

"Grandma is going a little crazy buying things for Louie," she said with a laugh.
