The Royal Canadian International Circus kicks off today on June 30.

With the Royal Canadian International Circus prepared for its showings on Canada Day long weekend, the Richmond News has drawn the winning names for its online contest.

Last week the Richmond News asked readers to answer the question: “Which shopping centre will play host to the circus?” for a chance to win a pair of tickets to a circus showing of their choosing between June 30 and July 3.

Five winners were randomly selected and have been notified by email.

For those who were not selected, readers can use code RichmondNews to receive a two-for-one ticket when you purchase tickets here.

After a two-year hiatus, The Royal Canadian International Circus is returning to Richmond with live entertainment, acrobatics, and death-defying tricks.

Its traditional acts go back 10 generations of circus families from all over the world with this year’s youngest performer at five-years-old.

Cathy Sproule, director of public relations with the circus told the News that it has been a difficult two years but calls it a privilege to be able to perform for the Richmond community once again.

“We all went through so much and it’s really amazing for performers to be able to perform for these audiences that are just starving to get back and watch live entertainment again.”

General admission tickets begin at $35 per person with VIP and ringside seating priced at $40 and $50 respectively.
