A young woman was subjected to a torrent of abuse and was even spat at after parking legally in a disabled parking spot.
A shocked Brenda Cheng, 23, told the News how she dropped her able-bodied mom off Friday on No. 3 Road outside
Shoppers Drug Mart at Richmond Centre.
Her mom then walked inside the mall to pick up Cheng's 13-year-old autistic and epileptic brother, Richard.
But when Cheng pulled into one of the disabled spots outside Shoppers and placed the disabled permit on the dash, she was stunned as to what happened next.
"My driver's window was halfway down and I could see this man, aged about 50 to 60, pointing at me and muttering stuff," recalled Cheng. "He kept muttering about me taking up a disabled spot or something and pointing and he started to get closer, so I rolled up the window as he was kinda scaring me.
"He then walked right up and spat a huge chunk of saliva on my window."
Cheng said the man, who was relatively well dressed in a polo shirt and trousers, then walked away very fast and jumped into a nearby car.
The stunned woman jumped out of her car and started taking pictures of the offender as he drove out of the parking lot.
"He looked at me smiling and laughing and gave me the finger. He then high-fived the woman sitting next to him in the car," said Cheng.
"It was very bizarre behaviour and obviously disgusting, as well."
Another witness to the shocking incident managed to take down the man's licence plate, which Cheng intends to hand over to the police.
"I don't get it. Why would you behave like that, all angry and stuff, then be smiling and laughing the next moment?" questioned Cheng.
"He looked like a regular white guy."
Cheng said, thankfully, neither her brother nor mom witnessed the incident.
