Richmond city council has a full agenda for Monday's regular 7 p.m. meeting at city hall.

Councillors will make the final decision on whether to approve several agenda items including a public hearing for a property near Costco to extend its temporary commercial use permit.

According to a city staff report, the property at 8991 Charles Street is looking for permission for a "vehicle rental, convenient" use permit, which will be limited to the storage of rental vehicles with no association with the building for three years.

If a permit is issued, there will be no public access to the area.

Meanwhile, a housing agreement between the city and Polygon is also on Monday's agenda. The agreement outlines the rents and square footage of 156 affordable units that make up 10 per cent of the floor area of the entire development.

Success is the preferred non-profit to operate the affordable housing units.

These homes will be in a six-storey standalone building and will be constructed in the first phase of the development on Cambie Road, just west of Garden City Road.

The City of Richmond is looking to update its tree, bench and picnic table dedication program.

Families who have dedication plaques in Richmond will be reached out by staff to ask if they will want to renew the plaques for a cost. Picnic table and bench dedications cost between $3,500 and $4,000.

According to city staff, the city will remove dedication plaques for families whom they cannot get in contact with. Instead, a sign will be put in its place for families to contact the city.
