Cops need help to track down 'dangerous' man

Richmond RCMP has appealed for help in finding Shawn George James McWilliams, who they class as a "high risk domestic violence offender" in relation to a number of outstanding warrants of arrest.

McWilliams, who also uses the name James, has an extensive criminal history for a variety of offences dating back to 1989.

He is currently wanted on 19 counts of breaching court ordered conditions, as well as two counts of assault with a weapon, six counts of assault, two counts of pointing a firearm, forcible confinement, uttering threats, anal intercourse, sexual assault, sexual assault with a weapon and kidnapping.

McWilliams has no home address and is known to work in the construction trades.

He is described as a Caucasian male, 40 years old, 6' tall, 194 lbs with hazel eyes and balding, brown hair. McWilliams also has a tribal tattoo on his right upper arm.

He owns a white 2010 Ford F150 truck, Alberta licence plate BBR 7366 that resembles the truck pictured.

Richmond RCMP is warning the public not to approach McWilliams as he listed as being violent, armed and dangerous.
