Many parking lots at popular Metro Vancouver parks including Richmond's Iona beach were closed off early morning as people left their homes to enjoy the beautiful weather on Sunday.
According to Metro Vancouver in a Twitter post, Iona Regional Beach Park had to close off their "full" parking lot to motorists as early as 10:30 a.m.
However, pedestrians and cyclists were still "good to go."
Other parking lots that were closed throughout the day included Sasamat Lake, Belcarra Regional Park and Centennial Beach.
