The Scotiabank & BC SPCA Paws for a Cause walk will be held at Garry Point Park on Sunday, Sept. 9 from 1 p.m., with the walk starting at 3 p.m. Registration is $25. Participants will be able to enjoy fantastic entertainment and activities, including: dog bowl licking and look-a-like contests (a $5 registration fee is payable at the registration table), a colouring contest, a scavenger hunt for kids, a kids zone (games, prizes, face painting), ask a vet booth, nail trims, demonstrations by Dog Smart and the RCMP, a Richmond fire engine, the Tim Hortons cruiser, a pet photo booth, a 50/50 draw, live music, and much, much, more! JENNA & NOAH'S 9th Annual Lemonade Stand for Life is this Sunday, Sept. 9 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Save-On Foods Ironwood (Steveston Hwy & No. 5 Road). All money raised benefits the breast cancer research.

The Riverside Art Circle, a non-profit painting club, is offering Watercolour Classes with local artist Marnie Rose-Edge. The Alzheimer Society of B.C. welcomes you to attend Getting to Know Dementia on Tuesday, Sept. 11. This two-hour introductory workshop will provide participants with an opportunity to learn about Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, and the challenges of receiving a diagnosis. During Invisible Awareness Week, the Richmond Centre for Disability presents We Are Visible Even After Dark, on Wednesday, Sept. 12 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Ralph Fisher Auditorium, Richmond Hospital, 7000 Westminster Hwy.
