Another protest against Richmond's Wenzhou Friendship Society will take place tomorrow late afternoon.

Spokesperson Andrew Wagner said he decided to plan another protest against the alleged Chinese "police station" because "nothing has yet been done about the issue."

"At minimum, Wenzhou Society must go on a Foreign Agent Registry before we are satisfied."

Wagner, who represents the Hong Kong Defense Initiative, saw an "enthusiastic turnout" at the first protest last month. He told the Richmond News that he decided to join forces with Vancouver Activists of Hong Kong for the upcoming protest because he wants to "give voice to those most threatened by Chinese police stations in Canada."

Wagner expects the turnout tomorrow will be bigger than last time, as recent CSIS documents reveal attempts on the part of the Chinese government to interfere in Canadian politics, and he suspects Wenzhou Friendship Society is a part of such attempts.

Timing the protest outside of work hours will probably help as well. The protest is planned for Saturday between 4:30-5:30 p.m.
