With 110 mm of rain so far this month Vancouver is a bit behind what it usually is in an average January, despite some heavy days of rain.
But this week, it might catch up a bit. That's right—showers and more precipitation are expected in Vancouver for the last week of January.
Luckily, it won't be too stormy, according to the Environment Canada forecast, with showers throughout the week, but no heavy rain or high winds predicted.
Monday, Jan. 23 will set the tone for the week with a 40 per cent of showers and some sunshine poking through, but expect a mostly cloudy day. This will carry through into the evening, when showers are slightly more likely. The cloud and showers will keep the temperature stable at around 3 C or 4 C during the day and night.
Things will get drearier on Tuesday, with increased cloud, though the showers and temperatures should be about the same.
Wednesday will be the nicest day, with no showers expected, a mix of sun and cloud and a high of 8 C. Without the cloud cover, though, temperatures will drop at night down to just 1 C, so if you're enjoying the nicer weather during the day, prepared for the chilly evening.
Thursday the showers will return and, similar to Tuesday, be a damp (though stable) day, with temperatures between 6 C and 3 C.
Friday will start off similar, but as we head into the weekend things will begin to clear up overnight and into Saturday. The weekend should start off nice with a high around 7 C and a mix of sun and cloud.
