Additional five flights flagged for possible COVID-19 exposure

Five domestic and international flights have been added to the list of possible COVID-19 exposures by the B.C. Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC). The list included flights between Toronto, Calgary, Kelowna, Los Angeles and B.C. The flights are: Oct.

Five domestic and international flights have been added to the list of possible COVID-19 exposures by the B.C. Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC).

The list included flights between Toronto, Calgary, Kelowna, Los Angeles and B.C.

The flights are:

Oct. 25: Air Canada flight 107, from Toronto to Vancouver (affected rows not reported)

Oct. 25: Air Canada flight 118, from Vancouver to Toronto (affected rows not reported)

Oct. 26: Air Canada 222, from Vancouver to Calgary (affected rows: 12 to 16)

Oct. 28: WestJet flight 253, from Calgary to Kelowna (affected rows: 19 to 23)

Oct. 30: Air Canada 551, from Los Angeles to Vancouver (affected rows: 20 to 26)

Any travellers arriving in B.C. from outside of Canada are required to self-isolate for 14 days and monitor for symptoms upon their arrival under the federal Quarantine Act.

Passengers on a domestic flight with a confirmed case of COVID-19 are asked to self-monitor for symptoms for 14 days.

According to the BCCDC website, passengers seated in the affected rows “should be considered to be at higher risk of exposure due to their proximity to the case.”
